St. Paul & St. Andrew's Homework Help tutoring program has been a mainstay of our community support and outreach over the years, while at the same time evolving to meet the needs of the current moment. We are supporting both returning students and newly arriving neighbors, providing critical supports and resources to English language learners and their families.
Do you have an hour you can offer on Wednesday evenings from 6-7pm, whether regularly or periodically? Join our pool of tutors - no experience necessary, just a desire to make a postive impact in the life of a child.
Our program runs from late-September to Memorial Day weekend.
What we do:
We tutor kids ages 5-17 years old, one-on-one That means we help kids with their homework, read with them, help them with a book report, maybe a science project, offer English support if needed - basically help them learn.
That means kids look forward to seeing us each week, telling us about their triumphs and heartbreaks.
That means each kid has the undivided attention of
their adult, who is focused entirely on
their kid for a whole hour.
That means really good, powerful stuff happens for tutor and for the kid
We work with the family of the kids being tutored
That means offering a soft chair and snacks or English coversation.
